Radio Controlled Truck Video of the Week

For this week’s installment of R/C Truck Video of the week we chose this cool vid of a Traxxas Revo 3.3 at a skate park. Doesn’t sound like much until you see the Revo blasting up and down the half pipes. Could this be a new sport? A new addition to the X Games? Probably not, but we can dream can’t we?

Clodzone needs your vids! Send your truck videos to us and we’ll consider them for R/C Truck video of the week.

Tamiya CR01 Land Cruiser 40 Owners Manual

Tamiya CR01 Owners ManualTamiya enthusiasts eagerly awaiting the April release of the Toyota Land Cruiser 40 rock crawler kit had a nice little surprise as Tamiya released the official owners manual for the kit on the Tamiya USA website today. What’s really cool about this is that the owners manual gives the world the first detailed look at the CR01′s axles, suspension, and unique planetary transmission. Upon closer inspection it looks like the CR01′s tranny is mounted to a lower skid plate which is mounted to the chassis with just four screws for extremely easy transmission removal and maintenance! Like all manuals from Tamiya it includes a detailed parts list for those wanting to plan a parts list for a custom build, once parts become available that is.

R/C Truck Video Of The Week

Every Sunday we will be posting a video that i feel is the best i have seen on youtube over the last 7 days. This edition of R/C Truck Video of the Week features a couple of custom trail trucks, an FJ40 Land Cruiser based off a Tamiya Bruiser, and a Ford F-350 which looks to be running on TLT axles. The beauty of this video is that the entire thing is from the cockpit of the FJ so now you get to see what it would be like to ride inside an R/C truck. If you have a video that you believe should be posted here feel free to contact the webmaster or add it to the comments section of this post.

Tamiya CR01 Land Cruiser Video

Tamiya brought one of the new CR01 Land Cruiser rock crawlers out to the Tamiya Mini Freak Mini Cooper race event the other day and allowed everyone to take a hand at running it. The video doesn’t show it’s true rock crawling capabilities because it’s literally being run over a pile of garbage but it does give you a better idea of it’s size and “feel”.

Axial Ax10 Scorpion ModificationsAfter completing Part 4 of Project scorpion we wondered whether there were any cheap mods we could do to our truck to improve it’s performance.
