Along with the new ARTR Scorpion Axial also introduced a couple of new parts for the AX10 today. A common upgrade that the hard core crawling crowd has been doing for a while now is to mount their electronics on the front upper links. The result is a lower center of gravity with the weight biased towards the front. To do so you previously had to fabricate your own plate but Axial has just made life easier with their AX10 upper link plate. Now all you have to do is mount the pre-made link plate to your suspension links and secure your electronics to it. Axial has also introduced a set of heavy duty universal joints for your scorpion as well.

At last years Tokyo hobby show Kyosho displayed a prototype rock crawler. Since then Kyosho has kept silent about the new rock crawler which made many speculate that it would never go into production. Well today it seems we are one step closer to it actually happening. Although the facts are still a little cloudy RCeasy is reporting that the Kyosho Rock Force will be a 2.2″ class rock crawler running unique worm drive gear axles, and possibly available as a RTR. What is most stunning is that it is said to have an optional rear axle disconnect (dig) which would be a first for a production rock crawler.
PRM products has recently unveiled a new wheel for the R/C monster truck world, the RPM Revolver. According to RPM these “are the most realistic offroad truck wheels” they have ever created. They are currently available in a badass gloss black, or chrome. As with all RPM wheels the Revolvers come pre-stripped of the chrome finish on the tire mounting surfaces for excellent bond when gluing your tires in place. RPM is also giving the buyer the choice of getting the Revolver in standard offset or their special “StableMaxx” offset which adds 1.2″ to the track width of your truck for added stability. Available in 14mm or 17mm hex drives these should fit the majority of monster trucks and truggys on the market today. You can pick yours up later this month. After the jump we’ve got larger images, full press release, and pricing.
Information is slowly leaking in about the new Duratrax Cliff Climber 1/14 scale rock crawler. Today we got word that the Cliff Climber will indeed have four wheel steering via dual TSX-200 servos mounted on the front and rear axles. Both servos are said to have servo savers installed. However our original report that there would be both a RTR and kit version of the truck is incorrect. The truck will be available as a RTR with a dual motor, dual battery ESC, and Tactic radio system, but there will be no kit. Instead Duratrax is going to offer a prebuilt version without electronics. After the jump we’ve got more info and specs!
