Built on a tube style chassis with a realistic look, the High Roller has front and rear skid plates, vertical aluminum shocks, and extended cab long bed custom truck body and chrome 320 series wheels with low profile all terrain tires. Losi backs up all of that incredible detail with a power system that offers plenty of torque and speed for rolling on the street or taking to the backwoods. A Losi 12RB electronic speed control with reverse routes power to the LM-32K performance motor, all run through an ultra durable planetary gear differential drivetrain. Additional features like captured rod ends for increased durability and an easy access battery compartment for quick battery changes all make the Highroller run as great as it looks. This is something that many R/C drivers have only dreamed about, and Team Associated is proud to bring to you the SC8, the first 1:8 scale nitro 4WD offroad, authentic race-truck replicas. Each SC8 comes decked out with one of four fully licensed race truck bodies, wheels and tires, designed to look just like the full-size race trucks that run in short course off road series around the country. The world of high-performance R/C has never before seen this level of scale accuracy!
R/C Car Action Magazine was on hand yesterday for the first public showing of the new Team Associated SC8 at the full size Corr race in Pomona, CA. RCCA’s John Cary said that the truck was definitely 1/8 buggy based but that a large portion of the platform was changed for scale realism including additions like a true BFG tread pattern, KMC wheel designs, and the decals installed on each body. Check out the link below for tons of pics of the SC8 with the body off.

Just after posting the new pictures Team Associated released of the SC8 we stumbled upon two small pictures on their site which clearly show that the SC8 is indeed nitro powered. Although its hard to tell the SC8 looks to be based on the RC8 and features a removable roll cage and possibly an electric starter, or at the very least a remote glow plug igniter. Stay tuned for more info.
We know you’ve been eagerly awaiting more information on the new Team Associated SC8 short course race truck and we’re sorry to report that we haven’t heard much more about recently. However Team Associated did wet our appetite a little today by releasing a few new images of the truck. The new pictures show the SC8 with a now windowless body with full interior roll cage. The lack of windows yet again supports our belief that this thing is nitro powered, likely a version of the RC8. Also along with the Red Bull truck we’ve showed you previously they also released pics of the SC8 decked out in three new paint schemes including a white Lucas Oils truck, and black Bully Dog motif. Go check it out!!!
Check this out! It’s the soon to be released Pro-Line Hardcorr body for the Traxxas Slash. A member of the Scale R/C Racer forums
