Looks like Duratrax is ready to enter the R/C rock crawling market with the brand new 1/14 scale Duratrax Cliff Climber. We don’t have full specs yet but it looks to have four wheel steering, dual axle mounted 380 size motors, and possibly a 10″ wheelbase. Rumor is that this may be a rebadged version of the Yokomo rock crawler but upon further inspection we feel that there are too many differences between the two for that to be the case. From what we hear it’ll be available in kit and RTR form and should be in hobby shops this July. After the jump we’ve got full size images of the Cliff Climber in each of its six available colors.
Pricing: $140 (Kit)
Pricing: $240 (RTR)

Sorry, but if that’s a rock crawler it’s not going to do well. Wheel to wheel under axle clearence is very poor. Hang ups may be common like that. Looks a bit to plasticy too. AX10 still the best IMHO out of the box including Axial’s rtr.
I agree, I don’t think Duratrax meant for this to be a hard core rock crawler. It looks very toyish to me.
The axial sucks compared to this beast
LMAO
i have seen better crawlers than this one but it is good for a beginer. the ax10 scorpion is a good crawler but to exspensive out of the box and does nott inclued every thing. itis best to get directions how to build one and justbuild one from scratch
I just got one, very cool little truck, crawls very well. First impression is ALMOST AS GOOD AX-10 BUT way better than the 1/18 losi
